Just arrived yesterday and have already decided that this is by far my most favorite town!  Pop. 60,000 with narrow winding streets up and down steep hillsides.  Lots of plazas clustered around historic buildings.  Such a romantic little town.  We have a big assignment due Wednesday which I have about 80% done thanks to the time in Chiquis.  Also tomorrow we do a site visit for another design project (mixed use...of course, what else?).  Saturday to San Miguel de Allende...and in a few weeks the big chivas-américas soccer game.  While in Guanajuato we are staying in a hostel.... I think out of the group we got the nicest room.... balconies out to the little placita along the pedestrian walkway and our own kitchen and private bath.  We are right in the Centro Historico and all the amenities (grocery store, laundry, phone, internet) are less than a minutes walk away.

Hi Kirsten.I'm at Grammy's and they had your site up. Sorry in the delay writing you back, but I'm glad to hear you are having such a great time. Sounds like this latest town is so quaint and your housing allows you to do some of your own meals. The atmosphere must be beautiful. I can't believe your trip is winding down. It will be great to see all of your pictures. Will you girls be doing your own meals. How has the weather been. Went to Kerri's for the super bowl. Fun to see it on her big screen. Klay is working hard for a guy welding on the weekends, so he is busy with work and school. Haven't seen him much. Before I forget, Happy Valentine's Day. We miss you. just me again. after i posted comments i took time to look through your picture album. the pictures are incredible. not only that, one only look at your face in the couple of pictures you are in to see what a great time you are having. how about a picture of your whole group?
