Puebla

The real work starts tomorow.... with our days packed with class from 9 to 5:30 everyday.  Tomorrow we have an introduction at the university and then after lunch take a trip to the site and start analysis.  Then in the evening we are off to do our homestays.  I and the 3 girls I have been rooming with are staying with Alejandro and his grandmother.  He is a friendly outgoing guy who gave the welcome speech (in spanish and english) today at lunch.

Wow, what a trip you are having. With all the bus and boat rides I bet you are tired. Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, but glad to see it only lasted a day or so. I didn't know that such a variety of fruit was found in the area. Lucky for you. Your project emphasis sounds interesting and I can't wait to hear your opinion of the differences found throughout your travels. I did receive your e-mail through dad at school.I'll open it tomorrow for the class to see. I'm selecting students to respond on each entry. We will follow your travels, it will be right up their alley since they will be studying colonization, Aztecs/Mayan
civilization, exploration of the area. They have had a touch of it through their study of missions last year. It should be interesting to see what they write you. We can't get this page at school, it's blocked. Sounds like your host in Puebla will be fun. I like how your emplyers are putting you station up for rent. Maybe you could sublease (ha ha). I bet it wil be nice to be stationary for awhile. Enjoy your time. Just finished watching football, Seattle and Pittsburg in the Super Bowl. Thanks for all the time you take to write, we look forward to your messages. Love you lots, be safe, have fun!
Love, Mom

Ooh, Alejandro :) Sounds like you are having quite a sightseeing adventure. I didn't know that you were actually going to do a project. My project is going fine... my client is definately set on farm style/ old country charm and I think the project lends itself to being a tick modern. Well, I will just have to convince him that he will learn to love it. Are you missing home yet? We are missing you. Love ya, Shana
